Ok what happens when a one shot gets requested into beeing several parts?
Well I really don't know...So I thought I would add one more little twist
to what started out beeing the Xellos One Shot. Then the Lina one shot.
So in natural order here is the ever so brief Zelgdis One Shot.

Zelgadiss One Shot

by Anomaly

I wonder what shes dreaming right now. If shes dreaming of the next
treasure shell find or of that extra dessert plate she wanted at dinner.
I wonder if shes dreaming of that prince on a tall white horse or a
castle by the dunes. I know what I dream about at night. I dream of
her. The silken red hair the big ruby eyes the touch of her skin on
soft human flesh. Sound of her voice humming in my ears like a bards
song. Unlike her I cant have my dream. So I draw them. On parchment,
in books, with charcoal and ink and shes never even wiser that Im doing
it. I sit with a book open for long hours at night sketching away why
she does the most trivial and mundane acts, why? Because that when shes
the most beautiful. When shes not pretending to be something else.
I render a perfect likeness of her every night. I say perfection because
its the one thing I think Ive mastered. But unlike my drawings shes
not all ways so real.

She wears her painted smile most of the time like a mask. Somehow I
feel I do the same but while she is comedy I am tragedy. While she stands
in the light, I stand in the shadows each wearing are mask of secrets
to try to convince the other they dont exist. I still long for that
stolen kiss which may only be given with human lips. The hands that
wish to feel her are the same way. The arms that wish to hold her yearn
too. I love everything about her to. Even the way she plays with that
thorny looking wedding band on her right hand. One day Ill ask her why
she and Xellos wear the same ring on their right hand.

That is one day. I dont think Im ready for the answer just yet. Why?
Because it might confirm that the charcoal drawings and my dreams are
the only thing I will ever have.
